About Me

Jen Wilder

I am passionate about my life and love  to share what I know and learn with others. I grew up in southeast Ohio on a small farm with a family who did everything from scratch. I first made bread at age nine and won first place in the county 4-H bread project.    I enjoy talking about and  teaching others about my homesteading lifestyle.  These are some of the skills I use everyday on my homestead: raising chickens for meat and eggs, growing my garden from seeds to harvest, cooking rustic delicious home style meals with local ingredients, preserving foods for my family by dehydrating, water bath and pressure canning,  baking all types of bread including sourdough.
